Amelia and Sebastian’s Wedding

Amelia and Sebastian’s wedding ceremony evolved over time, which was wonderful. It reflected their decisions as they thought about what they wanted, and different plans came together. Being open to ideas and options makes for the best outcomes!

Originally, they had a location in mind but weren’t set on it. They wanted somewhere for a small group of their guests to gather for the ceremony before a larger party to celebrate. I suggested looking at Nara Park, the beautiful area down by the Lake which gives so many options for different outlooks and backdrops.

Their plans changed and everyone was coming to the wedding and so they needed a suitable size area. They chose a fabulous area in Nara Park, which provided their guests with cover and lots of area for seating.

The layout meant reversing some of the ways ceremonies usually unfold – but that wasn’t a problem at all!

Amelia walked in, firstly alongside her brother and sister. They met both her parents and then formed into a procession. It was touching watching Amelia walk towards her husband to be with her mum and dad by her side. The wonderful thing was that because of the layout of the area, all the guests were able to watch this beautifully meaningful entry!

Amelia and Sebastian’s ceremony was filled with laughter and tears of joy, it was emotional and heartfelt. From memories of their first date, to their competitive natures bringing out the best in each other, and then their personal vows which were incredibly touching! Their ceremony was truly them.

Unlike a traditional exit, Amelia and Sebastian didn’t walk back through their guests, they headed to a lovely area which gave a backdrop of stunning green trees or the Lake, depending on which way you turned. They again used the space asking guests to line the pathway and giving them a wonderful opportunity to be cascaded with petals before gathering for a whole group photo. Being able to move away from traditions meant that Amelia and Sebastian were able to make the most of the stunning area they chose for their wedding.

After the ceremony, Amelia and Sebastian were guided by their fabulous photographer Tracey Leeto all the best places around Nara Park for some amazing photos before they joined their guests to party on at Parlour.
