Kerrianne and Tim's Wedding

Kerrianne and Tim’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of all they had shared and achieved in their years together as well as their dreams for the future. It was a family celebration, because family is so important to both of them!

What’s important to you?

When I first met Kerrianne and Tim, we discussed their thoughts and ideas for their wedding. There were some things that were very important and needed to be included, first and foremost their gorgeous son. In the early stages of planning, we weren’t sure exactly what that would look like, because he was young and growing quickly. We always knew that whatever happened, we would need to go with it in the moment.

Creating your space

Kerrianne had clear ideas about how she wanted everything to look. She and Tim chose the stunning Chapel At Gold Creek, and organised Show Pony Events as their stylist. Their reception was at The Abbey, a short stroll across Gold Creek for their guests.

Blue and white was their theme colour and it ran through everything. From the outfits worn by the wedding party, the flowers, decorations in The Chapel and The Abbey, and of course the cake. A fabulous blue backdrop was great for group photos during the reception.

Including children in the ceremony

As we got closer to the wedding date, we caught up so that I could get a sense of where things were up to. It also gave us a chance to look more closely at how we could include their son. We had Plan A and alternate options depending on how the day went. We had a quick practice at the rehearsal but knew we would go with whatever happened on the day.

On their wedding day, their son was better than we ever anticipated! As he walked down the aisle to his father – and he owned the space!! Because he knew most guests, he felt comfortable and gave the most gorgeous smiles and waves. It was a perfect start to their wedding, which was all about family.

Kerrianne was accompanied by her mother as she walked down the aisle to Tim and their son. We created a moment where they greeted each other and then their son went happily to his grandmother, leaving Tim and Kerrianne to focus on each other.

Writing your own vows

Tim and Kerrianne wrote their own vows, which were kept a secret until they read them to each other. As your celebrant I’ve got some tips to help and support you, but they are really not too hard to write. You can’t go wrong if you write from your heart.

After the ceremony

The grounds of the Chapel at Gold Creek are beautiful, and the guests mingled there before for photos. It was easy, nobody wandered off and everyone was included. Once photos were completed guests walked across to the reception, which gave Tim, Kerrianne and their son some time for a few more special photos before heading to their reception and joining their family and friends.

Feedback

After their ceremony Kerrianne wrote “We had so many positive comments from our family and friends on how special the ceremony was and how connected they were to our experience.” I was thrilled that their ceremony fulfilled their dreams!
